Our Elementary School offers a vibrant curriculum and a caring, safe environment for young learners. Teachers place a strong emphasis on exploratory learning and on integrating subject areas to bring lessons alive. On any given day, one might observe children reciting their own poetry to the class, sketching in the school's wetlands area, or planting seeds in our vegetable garden. Our elementary curriculum includes:
• core instruction in language arts, mathematics,
social studies, and science
• art, music, physical education, computer
technology (grades 2-6), and
Spanish enrichment classes
• self-contained classrooms throughout
Elementary School

Our Primary School program (K-3) focuses on fundamental learning, thinking, and organizational skills, while recognizing the developmental needs of each child. Students are encouraged to develop independence and responsibility, and to learn to relate to and respect others. Each primary classroom is paired with a group of eighth grade “buddies,” with whom they attend our all-school chapel each Monday and participate in monthly Buddy lunches.
Children in the intermediate grades (4-5) receive more advanced instruction in core classes as well as specialized instruction in science, Spanish, computer technology, religion, music, art, and physical education. Intramural team sports are offered to Intermediate School students as well.
