"Eagle's Quill", Our Literary Magazine

Now entering its fourteenth year, our student literary magazine, Eagle’s Quill, spotlights St. Michael’s strong language arts and visual arts programs. Eagle’s Quill publishes poetry, essays, and short stories, as well as black-and-white and color artwork and photography.

The staff of Eagle’s Quill, composed of students in grades 4 through 8, guided and trained by faculty advisors, meets once a week to review and discuss the more than 400 writing and art pieces submitted each year by children in grades K-8.

For each of the past four years, Eagle’s Quill has been commended by the National Council of Teachers of English’s Program to Recognize Excellence in Student Literary Magazines (PRESLM). St. Michael’s is the only K-8 school in the state of Arizona to receive such recognition.
